TheSchneider Electric STBXBA2300 is a dedicated mounting base for the Modicon STB distributed I/O solution, designed specifically for the STB XBE 1200 BOS (Beginning-of-Segment) internal bus extension module . This 18.4 mm wide base provides the physical connection point for a BOS module, which must be installed in the first (leftmost) position of an extension segment . It enables the BOS module to send logic power to the I/O modules in the extension segment and supports island bus communications between those I/O modules and the NIM in the primary segment . Unlike other size 2 bases, the STBXBA2300 lacks logic and field power contacts on its left side because a BOS module mounts at the segment's start and does not require them . The base features a DIN rail locking mechanism and earth ground contacts
