The Xantrex VX5A1400 is an intelligent, microprocessor-controlled battery isolator and dual-battery charging manager. Its primary function is to intelligently manage the charging of two separate battery banks (e.g., a starting battery and a house/auxiliary battery) from a single charging source (e.g., an alternator, battery charger, or solar controller).
